Geokon has a wide range of vibrating wire transducers to monitor the long term movement in critical structures, rock and soil. There are a range of models available to cover a wide range of installation environments.
Features of all models:
Vibrating wire technology has long-term stability and reliability
Cable lengths up to several kilometers are possible
Integral thermistor measures temperature at the strain gauge location
Constructed entirely from stainless steel
Wide range of models:
Model 440 Embedment Jointmeter - designed for use across construction joints. Ranges selectable from 12.5 to 100mm
Model 4420 & 4422 Crackmeter - intended to measure movement across surface cracks and joints. It is installed by grouting, bolting, or bonding two threaded anchors (with ball joints) on opposite sides of the crack and then attaching the ends of the gauge to the anchors. Ranges selectable from 12.5 to 150mm. Model 4422 is for unobtrusive monitoring of cracks up to 6mm.
Model 4410 Strandmeter - designed to measure strains in tendons and steel cables. Standard Range is 3 mm (15,000 µε)
Model 4425 Convergence Meter - used to monitor closures in underground excavations and tunnels
Model 4427 Long-Range Displacement Meter - ideally suited for the measurement of large displacements associated with landslides. The Model 4427 can also be used for monitoring the movement of boulders, snow, etc., on unstable slopes.
