The fibre optic probe is designed to measure light in difficult to reach places such under under rocks or leaves, or in shallow water.
The light is collected from the tip of the probe at right angles to its long axis. Thus the probe can be inserted in short grass sward and collect down-welling light. The electronics are housed in the meter to make a compact hand-held system. The response of this probe can be can be chosen from the standard range of sensors, eg. About the manufacturer
Skye is an employee owned company that has been manufacturing research grade systems and sensors for plant science and commercial horticulture since 1983.
