Lufft Ventus UMB Ultrasonic Wind Sensor

Wind

This sensor is made to withstand the most rugged conditions.

This sensor is part of the UMB family of sensors with both digital and analogue outputs. There are no mechanical parts to maintain, and is heated so can be used in harsh, cold conditions. It outputs wind direction, wind speed, virtual temperature (calculated) and air pressure

Wind Direction

  • Range: 0-359.9 degrees
  • Resolution: 0.1 degree
  • Accuracy: <2 degrees
  • Startup threshold: 0.1 m/s
  • Rate: 15 measurements per second

Wind Speed

  • Range: 0-75 m/s
  • Resolution: 0.1 m/s
  • Accuracy: +/- 0.2 m/s
  • Startup threshold: 0.1 m/s
  • Rate: 15 measurements per second

Virtual Temperature:

  • Range: -50 - +70 deg C
  • Resolution: 0.1 deg C
  • Accuracy: +/- 2 deg C

Air Pressure:

  • Range: 300 - 1200 hPa
  • Accuracy: +/- 1.5 hPa
