Apogee Silicon Cell Pyranometers

SP-110, SP-212, SP-214, SP-215, SP-230, SP-420, SP-421, SP-422

For measurement of total solar irradiance. They come with a range of analogue outputs, USB or with a meter for instant readings.

The Pyranometer Sensor is calibrated to measure the shortwave radiation reaching the Earth's surface, measured in Joules m-2 s-1 or Watts m-2.

Apogee's unique self-cleaning dome-shaped head prevents water accumulation. The sensor head is potted solid to prevent internal condensation in humid environments.

In addition to the standard SP-110 pyranometer, there are also 2 models available with amplified outputs up to 2.5 or 5V.

Pyranometer Meters - MP-100 & MP-200

Apogee have two meters for measuring solar irradiance for portable monitoring. The MP-100 includes an integral sensor, while MP-200 has a seperate sensor on cable.

The meter has a sample and log mode, and will record an integrated daily total in MJ m-2 d-1.

Sample mode will record up to 99 manual measurements.

Log mode will power the meter on/off to make a measurement every 30 seconds. Every 30 minutes the meter will average the sixty 30 second measurements and record the averaged value to memory. The meter can store up to 99 averages, once full it will start to overwrite the oldest measurement with new ones. An integrated daily total will be recorded from the 48 averaged measurements (making a 24 hr period).

Downloading data to a computer requires the AC-100 communication cable (a standard USB cable will not work) and ApogeeAMS software.

Accessories

Leveling Bases & Mounting

A leveling base must always be used to keep the sensor at the correct sun angle.

There are different depending on your mounting system, and if you are using a meter or sensor on cable.

Please ask for advice for the correct model.

Carry Case The AA-100 carry case is an optional accessory for protecting meters in the field
Sensor Wands

The AM-310 is for placing sensors in difficult to access places, such as underwater or under canopy. The AM-320 is a salt water version.
